| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New mutations: Intermediate yellow. One sooty yellow animal was observed, in a litter of C3H/HeJ in June 1964. The yellow animals recovered in successive crosses to C57BL/6J (aa) are sootier than AY and often are indistinguishable from Aa. They do not have the mottling often observed in Avy, and a higher percentage resemble A than in the Avy stock. Crosses with AY and Avy show that the compounds with each are fully viable and produce only yellow offspring. This allele is also viable in the homozygous condition. The suggested symbol is Aiy. |
