| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research notes: 1). New mutants. iv). A new mutant at the agouti locus, Agouti-umbrous, au, occurred in the offspring of a C3H x 101 F1 male who had received 600 r X-rays as an adult. The mutant animal was genotypically aua and phenotypically non-agouti down the centre back and agouti on the sides and belly. au is recessive to agouti and at least semi-dominant to non-agouti. The homozygote has not yet been definitely identified, but aua x aua matings have produced 16 au and 8 aa offspring indicating that auau may be lethal. (RJS Phillips) |
