| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutants: 2. The new allele at the c-locus, c22H, reported in MNL 34, p.27 is being called chinchilla-mottled, cm. Both cmcch and cmcm are mottled on aa +b. cmcm is distinguishable from cmcch by its whiter belly colour. The cm phenotypes are made very light by a dominant modifying gene provisionally called Modifier, M(cm). cmcm M(cm)M(cm) mice are almost white; they also appear t o be rather smaller than normal. M(cm) is probably independent of c. (Phillips). |
