abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New mutations: Hotfoot. Several mice exhibiting a quick patting motion with their feet were recovered from the C57BL/KS of C.P. Dagg in July 1964. The condition is due to a recessive mutation. Homozygous females are fertile, but homozygous males have all been infertile. When placed in water they expand the thorax and contract the body and the feet paddle rapidly. Tests for allelism with quaking, jolting, and lethargic were negative. Suggested symbol is ho. |
