| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: We have established the allelism of hop (hop-sterile, Johnson and Hunt, 1971, JEEM 25:223) and hpy (hydrocephalic-polydactyly, Hollander, 1976, Iowa State J. Res. 51:13) by mating +/hop mice to +/hpy mice and producing offspring with polydactyly and a hop gait. In litters scored soon after birth the proportion of homozygous individuals is approximately 25%; it is slightly less at weaning due to loss of homozygous pups. The homozygous males are sterile (though females are not) and the sperm from these individuals are morphologically abnormal). |
