Male offspring of the cross + Ta msd/Bn + + female x + + +/Y male were classified as follows: 25 + Ta msd, 11 Bn ++, 3 + Ta +, 2 Bn + msd, 6 Bn Ta msd, and 8 + + +. Since the classes Bn Ta + and ++ msd are missing, the gene order on the X chromosome is Bn - Ta - msd. This is in accord with the allelism of msd and jp, but not definitive proof. (Eicher). |
