| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research News: 1. The dominant mutant Small eye, Sey, discovered in this laboratory by Dr. R.C. Roberts, is being investigated by histological, immunochemical, histochemical and embryological techniques. The lens and retinal structures are affected but show extreme variation between individuals, between eyes and even within an eye. Gross swelling and vacuolisation of lens are the most frequent abnormalities. Changes in morphology and lens protein spectrum are correlated. A number of apparently metaplastic changes are occasionally found. (R.M. Clayton and J.C. Campbell). |
