| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: P.W. Lane. New mutation: Weaver, wv. This mutation occurred spontaneously in the 6th litter of a pair of C57BL/6J mice in October 1961. Two abnormal offspring appeared in a litter of 9. The behavior of these mice resembled that of both sg and rl. Affected mice do not live to maturity. Breeding tests proved the condition was due to a single recessive gene which is not allelic to either sq or rl. Tested heterozygotes have produced 268 ++ and 77 wvwv. Inspection of the brains of wvwv mice show that like sgsg they have a cerebellar abnormality. |
