| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutations: Pivoter. This neuromuscular mutation is dominant and arose spontaneously in the amputated stock. Breeding tests show that heterozygotes of both sexes are fertile and have behavioural patterns ranging from hyperactive animals with a typical waltzing motion to animals with normal behaviour. Mutant mice are deaf and have structural abnormalities of the inner ear. The posterior vertical and horizontal semi-circular canals are sometimes constricted or absent. Pivoter is not allelic with jerker. The symbol suggested for this gene is Pv. |
