| abstractText | Research news: 1) New mutants. b) Kidney disease, kd. Some mice of the CBA/H stock which became ill at the age of 6-8 months were found to have an inherited nephrosis. The disease appears to be due to a single autosomal recessive gene for which the name and symbol above are suggested. It is first recognizable at the age of 2-3 months when the urine becomes pale or colourless and affected animals can produce 2-3 litters before becoming ill. We would be very pleased to hear of anyone interested in having this mutant for investigation. (Hulse, Lyon, Meredith). |
