| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New mutants. A recessive mutation, resembling my phenotypically but not allelic to it was reported in MNL 23. No defects have been seen among 81 offspring of crosses between mymy animals and the mutant, which has been given the symbol eb (eye blebs). Matings between homozygous ebeb mice have produced 442 off-spring, of which 335 or 76% had defects of eye, kidney or foot. Anophthalmia or microphthalmia on one or both sides was seen in 258; small, missing, or cystic kidneys on one or both sides in 158; and clubbed feet, webbed toes or extra digits on one or both sides in 145 (usually involving the hind foot). |
