| molecularNote | In this transgenic line, a construct designed to express the viral envelope protein of a variant of the Moloney murine leukemia virus under the control of a human granzyme B promoter inserted randomly into an unidentified gene. Seven to eight copies of the transgene integrated in a head to tail orientation, and expression of the transgenic construct was restricted to the thymus in this line. No abnormalities were observed in other transgenic lines generated from the same construct, and hemizygous mice appear healthy, confirming that the mutant phenotype is a result of the construct integration event in this line. |
