These sequences encode half the DNA binding domain and the adjacent oligomerization domain of the protein. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from homozygous embryonic cells demonstated that a mutant, truncated transcript was produced from this allele. However, western blot analysis indicated that no protein was detectable in cells derived from homozygous embryos. |
