molecularNote  A neomycin selection cassette was inserted to disrupt an exon of the mu-adaptin gene. Northern analysis of total RNA isolated from homozygous embryos revealed an absence of transcript. Western analysis of homozygous mutants showed a 30% reduction in gamma-adaptin and a 70% reduction in sigma1-adaptin relative to a control.
