abstractText  Full text of MNL contribution: (a) Spontaneous:- (1) Pearl. Recessive. Arose in C3H. Dilutes yellow as well as black portions of hair, particularly at base. (2) Light color. Recessive. Arose in C3H. Dilutes distal parts of hair, primarily (or exclusively?), the black portions. Probably considerable prenatal mortality; postnatal viability very poor. All tested males sterile. One of four tested females had a litter of 3 dead young. (3) Twisted legs. Recessive. Arose in hr stock. Forelegs may be affected at least as frequently as hind legs. Homozygote sterile. (4) High tail. Recessive. Arose in Balb C. Tail emerges high and is about two-thirds normal length, wavy. (5) Bobbed. Recessive. Arose in stock 41. Most frequently, tail is represented short (1/4 in.) filament only but may get to be up to 2 in. long, rigid and kinked. Viability and fertility good. (6) Small kink. Dominant, incomplete penetranoe. Arose in a 129 cross. (b) Radiation induced. All of the following are dominant ;- (1) Domed head. incomplete penstrance. (2) White mottled. (3) Dominant belly spot. (4) Kinky tail.
