PHENOTYPE: This locus controls imprinting of the Tme (T-associated maternal effect) gene. Laboratory strains and M.m. domesticus carry the d allele, causing Tme to be imprinted; M.m. musculus inbreds carry the m allele, releasing the Tme locus from imprinting. [provided by MGI curators]
