molecularNote  Hoxd13, Hoxd12, and regions X and XI were deleted via trans-allelic meiotic recombination (TAMERE). The deletion was accomplished by recombination of a single loxP site in the intergenic region between Evx2 and Hoxd13 (Evx2/Hoxd13tm1.1Ddu; also contains a stop codon in the first exon of Evx2, at bp 110) and a single loxP on the opposite chromosome 303 bp upstream of a 261 bp deletion of region X (Hoxdtm4.1Ddu).
