Allele : Tg(MMTV-Myc)147-9bLed transgene insertion 147-9b, Philip Leder

Primary Identifier  MGI:2447512 Allele Type  Transgenic
Attribute String  Inserted expressed sequence Gene  Tg(MMTV-Myc)147-9bLed
Strain of Origin  (CD-1 x C57BL/6J)F1 Is Recombinase  false
Is Wild Type  false
description  Transgenic line 147-9b is also called "TG.K." Lines 147-9a and 147-6 also carry this construct. The construct was designated "MMTV/c-myc" or "MTV-Sma" or "MTV-Sma myc" or "MMTV-Sma myc" or "TG.K."
molecularNote  The transgene contains the mouse mammary tumor virus promoter and the mouse myelocytomatosis oncogene and the endogenous Myc promoters. The MMTV promoter droved transgenic expression in the spleen, testis, lung, brain, salivary gland, and mammary (J:72130) and preputial gland. Expression of the transgene was not detected in thymus, pancreas, kidney, liver, heart, or muscle. Five to ten copies of the transgene were inserted at the site of integration. The founder mouse that gave rise to this strain carried two insertions of the transgene, which were separated by breeding into lines carrying either Tg(MMTV-cmyc)147-9aLed or Tg(MMTV-cmyc)147-9bLed.
