molecularNote  Expression of a signal resistant mutant form of Hdac4 in which serines 246, 467, and 632 were replaced with alanines was driven by the a 3 kb fragment of the Col2a1 promoter and the Col2a1 3 kb chondrocyte-specific enhancer region. Expression of the transgene was seen in proliferating chondrocytes.
