| molecularNote | The transgene comprises a 6.4-kb fragment containing a B*3501 allele of the human major histocompatibility complex, class I, B antigen gene. Surface expression of the transgene product on peripheral blood lymphocytes and spleen cells was demonstrated by flow cytometry with an anti-HLA Class I monoclonal antibody; expression levels were similar to those of endogenous mouse MHC antigens. Western blot analysis revealed high levels of expression in lung, spleen, thymus and skin and low to medium expression in heart and brain. |
