Allele : Tg(tetO-BMPR2*T504)1Jwst transgene insertion 1, James West

Primary Identifier  MGI:3703793 Allele Type  Transgenic
Attribute String  Dominant negative, Humanized sequence, Inducible, Inserted expressed sequence Gene  Tg(tetO-BMPR2*T504)1Jwst
Strain of Origin  FVB/N Induced With  doxycycline/tetracycline
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  Seven copies of the tetracycline responsive element and the CMV minimal promoter were used to drive the expression of a dominant-negative mutant BMPR2. The BMPR2 mutation is an insertion of a T at base 504 in the kinase (4th) domain of the protein, resulting in a premature stop 18 amino acids into the kinase domain. These transgenic mice were crossed to Tg(Tagln-rtTA)E1Jwst mice to obtain mice with inducible, muscle-specific expression of dominant-negative BMPR2.
