| description | Males and females are infertile: very low testis weight, low seminal vesicle weight, no epididymal sperm are recovered; in females, no oocytes are recovered. Histological analysis shows arrest of spermatogenesis during late pachytene stage of meiotic prophase, some seminiferous tubules have only spermatogonia and Sertoli cells present, some germ cells appear apoptotic. Ovaries are tiny with some follicle activity; hemorrhagic cysts are present in some ovaries. |
