Transgenic F0 animals generally died prematurely by 4 months of age so only one line, 7488, bearing 2 copies of the transgene, was propagated. Expression is lens-specific. Transgene expression is identified by white and opaque appearance of the eyes upon opening, instead of a normal transparent lens. |
