molecularNote  Exons 3-6 were flanked by loxP sites and were inverted to an antisense orientation via homologous recombination (Aiptm2.1Bra ). This reverses the sequence of the C-terminal tetratricopeptide repeats and should result in the truncation of the protein. A neomycin cassette was also inserted following exon 6 and flanked on either side with Frt sites. The neomycin cassette was removed by mating with FLPeR mice (Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(FLP1)Dym).
