abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 2) The following dominant mutations have occurred in a low intensity neutron irradiation experiment:- a) Brachyphalangy, provisional symbol Bph. Digits of the forefeet are splayed out in heterozygotes, with a marked shortening and thickening of phalanges and metacarpals, especially noticeable in the pollex. Hind-feet are less severely affected. The homozygote is a prenatal lethal, all feet showing brachyphalangy and high-grade polydactyly. There are other severe limb defects and frequently exencephaly as well. |
