| molecularNote | A transgenic construct containing a rat probasin promoter (Pbsn), beta globin intron, a truncated N-terminal human avian erythroblastosis virus E-26 (v-ets) oncogene related (ERG) cDNA and poly(A) sequences was injected into C57BL/6 X CBA fertilized embryos. Two mouse lines were generated. Founder line 1 had significantly higher levels of the mutant ERG transcript. Truncated ERG protein were higher in Western blots of the ventral prostate with significantly lower levels in dorsolateral and anterior lobes. |
