molecularNote  A 674 bp neural crest enhancer region within the upstream genomic region was replaced by a flowed PGK-neo cassette. The PGK-neo cassette was removed by Cre-mediated recombination. Immunohistochemistry of E11.5 homozygous embryos revealed apparently normal level and distribution of the protein compared to wild-type littermates.
