molecularNote  A GFP construct modified to enhance function in mammalian systems was place under the control of a modified Pcp2 promoter. All ATG codons in exon 2 of Pcp2 and downstream of exon 2 have been deleted. The GFP construct contains about 100 mutations including a serine to threonine change at codon 65. Three founder lines were produced. Line 50 showed the highest levels of expression.
