The promoter cassette contains nucleotides (nt) -596 through +21 of the rat fatty acid binding protein 1, liver (Fabp1) gene with an insertion at nt -132 -- just upstream of its endogenous position -- of four additional tandem copies of the 35-bp putative nuclear protein binding site, composed of a direct repeat of the sequence TTCTGNNTT separated by five nts, that resides at nts -172 to -133 of the Fabpl gene. |
