| molecularNote | The L1L2_gt0 cassette was inserted at position 18064967 of Chromosome X upstream of the critical exon(s) (Build GRCm39). The cassette is composed of an FRT flanked lacZ/neomycin sequence followed by a loxP site. An additional loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exon(s) at position 18065789. The critical exon is thus flanked by loxP sites. Subsequent cre expression resulted in a knockout mouse. Deletion of the third exon produces a frameshift and introduction of a translational stop codon when Utx is spliced from exon 2 to exon 4.
