molecularNote  The mouse promoter drives neuron-specific expression of this transgene that includes a mutagenized green fluorescent calcium indicator (GCaMP6s), woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulatory element (WPRE), and bovine growth hormone (bGH) polyadenylation sequence. GCaMP consists of a circularly permutated green fluorescent protein (cpGFP), the calcium-binding protein calmodulin (CaM), and CaM-interacting M13 peptide. This GCaMP6s variant of GCaMP incorporates a K78H mutation in cpEGFP, as well as T381R, S383T, and R392G mutations in CaM. Line GP4.3 was generated.
