abstractText | The belted 10 Jackson mutation arose spontaneously at The Jackson Laboratory occurred in a transgenic line of C57BL/6J. When the transgene was bred out of the line the belted 10 Jackson homozygotes still displayed the typical white belt over the lower back, but no other outward phenotype. A mapping cross to 129S1/SvImJ placed this recessive mutation on Chromosome 15 between 93,302,292 bp and 96,576,353 bp and exome sequencing identified a G to A single nucleotide variant at Chromosome 15 position 94,345,754 bp, which is predicted to introduce a Q665* stop codon in Adamts20. |
