| molecularNote | The cre recombinase sequence and the FRTs flanked kanamycin resistance gene was inserted by BAC recombineering methods in-frame following the first exon of mouse FN1 gene in a BAC clone RP24-211L16 containing the whole FN1. Resistant clones were selected and confirmed for appropriate homologous recombination, after which kanamycin was removed using the site-specific recombinase FLP.
