molecularNote  A loxP site and a FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette were inserted into intron 9. An enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) sequence, followed by a second loxP site, was inserted at the end of the coding region. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 10 and flanking intron sequences.
