Allele : Kcnh2<tm1c(EUCOMM)Wtsi> potassium voltage-gated channel, subfamily H (eag-related), member 2; targeted mutation 1c, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute

Primary Identifier  MGI:7407143 Allele Type  Targeted
Attribute String  Conditional ready Gene  Kcnh2
Transmission  Germline Strain of Origin  C57BL/6N
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
Project Collection  EUCOMM
molecularNote  The L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at position 24529095 of Chromosome 5 upstream of the critical exons 6-9 (Build GRCm39). The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exons 6-9 at position 24532275. The critical exons 6-9 are thus flanked by loxP sites. Flp-mediated recombination deleted the lacZ and neomycin resistance gene generating a "conditional ready" exon 6-9 floxed allele. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml
