| abstractText | The HGFu and Ob17 cell lines, derived from adipose tissue of lean (+/?) and ob/ob mice, respectively, express several G-protein peptides. Investigation of the expression and subcellular localization of the G(i) alpha 3 subunit showed that this peptide is associated with the Golgi apparatus. These findings indicate a role for this subunit in vesicular traffic and are in agreement with the view of the adipocyte as a secretory cell. |
