| abstractText | The cDNA encoding an entire open reading frame of rat betacellulin has been cloned from rat kidney. Expression of this cDNA in COS7 cells showed a significant amount of mitogenic activity in the culture media. Western blotting of the cell lysates suggested that the membrane-anchored precursor was cleaved to release its ectodomain very efficiently. |
