| abstractText | We have cloned a cDNA encoding an avian homologue of the mammalian brown/TYRP1 locus protein. The chick tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1) gene encodes a deduced protein of 535 amino acids, shares > 65% amino acid sequence identity with fish and mammalian TRP-1 proteins, and spans 5-11 kb of the chick genome. |
