It is distinguished from other Tanycyte NN_2 cells by expression of Mroh5. These cells are located in the Hypothalamus, brain , in or close to the regions: Periventricular hypothalamic nucleus, intermediate part, third ventricle, Arcuate hypothalamic nucleus .
