abstractText | Full text of Abstract: Localization of the human int-4 (INT4) gene. (A2459). SH Rider1, PA Gorman1, J Shipley1, H Roeling2, R Nusse2, W Xu3, D Sheer1, E Solomon1; 1Imperial Cancer Research Fund, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3PX UK; 2The Netherlands Cancer Institute, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Huis, Amsterdam; 2Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Shanghai, China. A 3.5kb Eco/RI/HindIII human int-4 probe (HBG2) has been regionally localized to 17q2l- q22 using a panel of chromosome mediated gene transfectants and conventional hybrids, in particular, those with well defined breaks on human chromosome 17. In situ hybridization confirmed and more precisely localized int-4 to human chromosome 17q21.3-q22. The mouse MM'IV integration site int-4 has been mapped to mouse chromosome 11 in a region homologous to that of human chromosome 17. |
