abstractText | Full text of Mouse Genome contribution: Research News. We present strain distribution patterns of some genetic markers for the inbred strains, KE, KP and CBA/Kw, as well as for recombinant inbred strains developed from the progenitor strains KE and CBA/Kw: four EXCB, five CBXE RI strains bred for more than 20 generations, and ten incipient CBXE strains (about 15 gen.). All loci were tested in our Department, except Ly-1, Ly-2, Tla (Strzadala et al., Zwierz. Lab. 26:65-70, 1989) and Akp-1, He, Es-3 (unpublished data, kindly sent by Dr. K. Moriwaki, National Institute of Genetics, Mishima, Japan). Some data were published previously (Rafinski et al., Zwierz. Lab. 28:25-30, 1991). For the KE and KP strains our estimations were confirmed in Dr. Moriwaki's laboratory. RI strains are now being tested for segregation of genes influencing gametogenesis and gamete quality. Table 1.
