| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage Data: 2. Work done in collaboration with Drs. Roderick, Taylor, and Womack of the Jackson Laboratory. The locus for the major liver protein (Wilcox, 1972. J. Hered. 63:60) has been tentatively located on chromosome 6. No recombinant inbred strains out of 8 were recombinant for the locus and Ly-2, and in a test cross 3 out of 28 were recombinant between the locus and Mi. Gene order has not been established. Gene symbols Lvp-1a and Lvp-1b are proposed for the fast and slow migrating forms of the protein. |
