abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage data: 3. Linkage of adenosine deaminase, Ada. Abbott et al. (Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 83: 693-695; 1986) suggested that wst was an activity variant of Ada. Our subsequent studies (Abbott et al., submitted, Le Tissier et al., submitted) show that Ada and wst are non-allelic, and Abbott et al. (submitted) have suggested a probable gene order of a ... Ada ... Ra. Further linkage studies have been carried out using an electrophoretic variant of Ada and the data are shown in the Table. Thus the order a ... Ada ... Ra is confirmed; Ada maps close to a; and the RF value in males of 20.2 +/- 3.1% for a-Ra agrees with that previously found.(Green GVSLM 1981). (Le Tissier, Peters and C.J.
