| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 7. Serum protein-2 (Sep-2). We have uncovered a new serum protein electrophoretic variant that migrates in Tris-glycine pH 8.5 buffer between SEP-1 and ALB. The gene responsible for this protein, Sep-2, is located on Chr 9 either between Mpi-1 and Mod-1 or distal to Mod-1. Eperiments are in progress to determine whether this is the long-sought-after alphal-antitrypsin. (Eicher and S. Reynolds) |
