| abstractText | Full text of Mouse Genome contribution: Linkage data: 1. Linkage studies with T(2;14)48H. Further linkage studies have been carried out between T(2H1;14B)48H (Beechey, MNL 81:65, 1987 and MNL 84:85-86, 1989) and the chromosome 14 markers hr and s, located 16 cM apart (Doolittle et al, Locus map of the mouse, Mouse Genome 87:14-27, 1990). Backcrosses of T48H ++/+ hr s males and females to + hr s/+ hr s produced progeny of the following phenotypic classes: 28 T48H, 9 hr s, 2 T48H hr s, 5 +, 5 T48H s, 10 hr, 0 T48H hr and 1 s, total 60. Thus, the order is as shown with an RF between T48H and hr of 13.3 +/- 4.4%, agreeing well with the g-band position of T48H. The RF of 26.7 +/- 5.7% between hr and s in these crosses, compared with the value given above suggests that T48H enhances crossing over in this region. (Beechey) |
