| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: e. Twitcher (twi) is on Chr 12. A repulsion intercross with sm produced 280 ++, 65 sm +, 126 + twi, 0 sm twi (total 471) giving an upper 95% confidence limit for recombination of 15%. The deficiency of the sm + class could be due to a loss of these mice prior to classification or poor penetrance of the sm gene. Twelve homozygous males, sm +/sm ?, were tested to determine if they were carriers of twi. Two were found to be sm +/sm twi giving an RF of 9.1 +/- 6.4%. To date the coupling intercross (sm twi/+ +), still in progress, has produced 78 + +, 3 sm +, 9 + twi, 16 sm twi (total 106) for an estimated RF of 13.0 +/- 3.5%. The recombination estimate for the IC was calculated using the E.L. Green computer program for analyzing linkage data (MNL 73:21, 1985). (Sweet) |
