| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 2. Linkage Data. Pep-2 and Sod-1 have previously been assigned to chromosomes 10 and 16, respectively, by somatic cell genetic methods (Francke et al., 1977, Cytogenet. Cell Genet. 19:57; Francke and Taggart, 1979, PNAS 76: 5230). Allelic variants of each have been kindly provided to us by Susan Lewis (Pep-2) and Dick Sage (Sod-1). Recombination mapping has produced a preliminary assignment of Pep-2 very near Sl on chromosome 10 (0/52 recombinants) and Sod-1 is sufficiently distant from md on chromosome 16 to assort independently in a small number of offspring examined (9/21 recombinants).
