| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage Data: Location of dipeptidase-1 (Dip-1). Chapman et a1 (Biochem. Genet. I971 in press) located Dip-1 about 24 cM from Id-1 on LG XIII. Roderick (Mutation Res. 1971 in press) suggested it was on the ln side of ld-1 since Dip-1 and Id-1 did not show recombination in a particular inversion heterozygote. This position has now been confirmed using a three-point cross involving Dip-1, ln, and fz. In 73 backcross progeny, when Dip-1 recombined with ln, it simultaneously recombined with fz. Further, when fz recombined with ln, it simultaneously recombined with Dip-1. The gene order with recombination percentages from this cross is Dip-1 8/73 = 11%; ln 21/73 = 29%; fz. (T.H. Roderick) |
