| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 3. Sorbitol dehydrogenase-1 (Sodh-1). Using isoelectric focusing in polyacrylamide gels, we have discovered a polymorphism for NAD-dependent sorbitol dehydrogenase (E.C.1.1.1.140) from kidney. A survey of 21 genetically dissimilar strains revealed the variant allele only in mice from the Peru stock (F = 12). The enzyme can be typed by cellulose acetate electrophoresis if appropriate controls are used. Linkage analysis is in progress. (L.C. Skow and J.B. Whitney) |
