| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research News: Pyruvate kinase - a new activity variant (Pk-3r). Two thousand C57BL/6J females were screened for kidney pyruvate kinase activity, one such female expressed activity one half of the normal level. This animal transmitted the trait and a single gene responsible for the trait (Pk-3) was identified and mapped very close to the d locus on chromosome 9. (F. Chasalow, S.E. Lewis, G. Anderson, P.
